Bide Awhile and R&R
We here at R&R Pools have several charities that we support every season. In fact, you may have helped us raise money for them in some way. If you receive our newsletters or follow us on Facebook, you may have seen little tidbits on our chosen charities. But one that is near and dear to our hearts is Bide Awhile Shelter. Bide Awhile Shelter has loads of adorable cats and dogs waiting to become a part of your family!
What is Bide Awhile?
Founded in 1969, Bide Awhile is a non-profit, NO-kill animal shelter located in Dartmouth, NS. The good people at Bide Awhile believe what separates them from other shelters is their respect for and commitment to their relationships with their animal companions. Bide Awhile believes in the right circumstances, humans and animals can enrich each other’s lives. That’s why they work hard to find the perfect match for every animal that comes into their care. They also believe in creating a humane community and are therefore committed to public education about pet ownership, the importance of spaying and neutering, and other animal-related issues.
Bide Awhile and R&R Pools
We at R&R have both a personal and professional relationship with Bide Awhile Animal Shelter. We have been supporting the good people at Bide Awhile with annual charitable donations since 2010 and will continue to do so in the future. We love what Bide Awhile represents and we know the money donated is being put to a good cause. Our very own resident feline here at R&R, Skimmer was adopted from Bide Awhile! Skimmer likes to spend her time at the store playing with her toys, taking naps and relaxing in her favourite garbage bag!
Why Adopt?

Bide Awhile is located at 67 Neptune Crescent, Dartmouth NS. Their hours of operation are as follows: Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm – Saturdays and Sundays from 10am to 2pm. Visitors are always welcome, and you could end up meeting your new best friend!
